Soon after Eragon left Alagaësia the elves started to work on making Vroengard clean and liveable again. After 90 years it was done and Arya sent a message to Eragon, he came back with the three riders. A small group try to recreate Galbatorix and are trying to spread discontent across Alagaësia.
